As it turns out, Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista is a Marvel fan just like the rest of us -- and that's exactly why he chose not to read the full Avengers: Infinity War script. On Twitter, the former wrestler revealed that he refused to read it so that the movie would surprise him when he saw it in theaters.

I chose not to read it. Gods honest truth! I want to sit there with my bucket of popcorn and bag on M&M's and be surprised! #fanboy https://t.co/sg0nOGoDuQ

Bautista will reprise his Guardians role as Drax the Destroyer for Infinity War. Though Drax has never met any of the Avengers characters before, Infinity War promises to introduce him to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Earth-bound heroes, per the footage screened at Disney's D23 Expo and Comic-Con International in San Diego. Infinity War will pit the MCU's heroes against the Mad Titan Thanos, who will bring the Infinity Gauntlet along with him for the ride.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Infinity War boasts a sprawling ensemble cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland and Anthony Mackie. The film arrives in theaters May 4, 2018, with the untitled sequel opening May 3, 2019.
