It seems Thor might be getting his hands on a new hammer in time Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War. At least, that's what it looks like from a set photo posted on the Instagram account of directors Joe and Anthony Russo.

The image appears to have been taken on a location shoot at Durham Cathedral in England, and depicts Joe Russo gesturing to the side while a priest holds Mjolnir. The photo is accompanied by a single-word caption: "Worthy."

Worthy.

Fans will of course recall that mighty Thor's equally mighty hammer Mjolnir can only be wielded by one who is considered worthy, a criteria that seemingly does not include most of the Avengers, with the notable exception of The Vision, who carried the weapon in Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, we see Mjolnir destroyed in the trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, so it would seem that either the hammer's destruction is a trick, not outside the realm of possibilities in a film featuring Loki, or that it will be replaced before the start of Avengers Infinity War.

Whichever the case, recent concept art for Infinity War suggests Thor might be varying his choice of tools for the task at hand, and could be carrying the axe Jarnbjorn for at least part of the movie.
