The "Guardians of the Galaxy" may just be on a collision course with the Avengers. During an interview with The Nerdist, "Avengers: Infinity War" screenwriters Chris Markus and Steve McFeely drew out some connections between the two Marvel properties, strongly suggesting the Guardians' involvement in the upcoming "Avengers" film.

Asked if they'd be interested in including the Guardians in "Infinity War," Markus said, "Let me put it this way: you know who owns that gauntlet, right? You know who's in another movie and his kids are in that movie..."

"It's a big universe," added McFeely.

"You do the math!" Markus concluded.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and more, "Captain America: Civil War" -- the next installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe -- is now in theaters.
