Relatively new to the comics, the Black Order first appeared in 2013's New Avengers #8 and was created by Jonathan Hickman, Jerome Opeña and Jim Cheung. Supergiant, one of the members of the group, has not appeared in any promotional materials as of yet, so it's not clear as to whether or not she'll make it into the film.

The Black Order was a key player in the Infinity storyline, which featured them taking on the Illuminati (then comprised of Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Namor, Black Bolt and Mr. Fantastic) in pursuit of the Infinity Stones/Gems.
