Avengers: Infinity War Video Unveils New Concept Art, Stars RDJ & More

Marvel Studios dropped a new behind-the-scenes video of Avengers: Infinity War that features Robert Downey Jr, Chris Pratt and Tom Holland.

Marvel Studios has released a behind-the-scenes first look at "Avengers: Infinity War," the film that will pit the Marvel Cinematic Universe's heroes against the mad titan Thanos.

The video opens with the Collector's epithet of the Infinity Stones from "Guardians of the Galaxy": "Before creation itself, there were six singularities forged into Infinity Stones." As the Collector narrates, the video shows the five Stones we've seen so far: the Tesseract/Space Stone, the Vision's Mind Stone, the Aether/Reality Stone, the Orb/Power Stone and the Eye of Agamotto/Time Stone.

Next, a date appears: January 23, 2017, which marks the first day of production on the Pinewood Studios lot in Atlanta, GA. Stars Robert Downey, Jr., Tom Holland and Chris Pratt stand on set as they each reflect on what the next year has in store for them. Holland recounts going to see the first "Avengers" movie with his friends back home; he reveals that he "never dreamed that he'd be in one of these movies, let alone playing Spider-Man."

Shortly thereafter, producer Kevin Feige discusses the journey of building to "Infinity War" and how it all began with "Iron Man" in 2008, when Marvel Studios kicked off their cinematic universe.

After Thanos' appearance in the mid-credit scene of "The Avengers," all of the films have led up to him facing our heroes in "Infinity War." To really make the confrontation feel earned, Marvel Studios had to set it up properly. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo revealed that involved tearing the Avengers apart in "Captain America: Civil War," which continues into "Infinity War." With the heroes fighting among themselves, the world is vulnerable to an attack from Thanos.

Feige teased that Thanos will show everyone why he's the biggest and baddest villain they've ever faced, which then led to the revelation that the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy will meet on-screen in "Infinity War." Concept art unveiled in the video shows the Guardians' Rocket Raccoon standing side-by-side with the Avenger's Thor.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, “Avengers: Infinity War” is scheduled for release on May 4, 2018.
