As speculation mounts whether time travel will play a role in Avengers: Endgame, an updated cast listing suggests at least a portion of the film will take place in the 1970s.

The cast listing for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film on the Internet Movie Database now includes Monica Mathis appearing as "70s Car Girl #1" and Miles Webb as "70's Scientist/Lab Worker".

If accurate, the throwback characters could lend further credence to earlier rumors that Tony Stark would travel back in time in the film and meet his father Howard. Actor John Slattery, who had appeared as Howard Stark in Iron Man 2, Ant-Man and Captain America: Civil War, was reportedly seen in on set in Atlanta while the film was undergoing reshoots this past September.

Another possibility is that Tony uses his Civil War invention the Binarily Augmented Retro-Framing (B.A.R.F.) device to visit the past. The augmented reality device allowed Tony to revisit the final conversation with his parents in Civil War and may make a return in the upcoming MCU film.
