The adaptation of Hajime Isayama’s bestselling manga, “Attack on Titan” is set in a world where the last remnants of humanity live in cities surrounded by enormous walls that provide some protection against enormous, flesh-eating humanoids known as Titans. The story, which debuted in 2009, initially centers on Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and childhood friend Armin Arlert, but expands to include numerous other characters — including the fan-favorite Levi — as we begin to learn the truth about the Titans.

Here's the official synopsis for Season Two, courtesy of Funimation, which will stream the episodes in the United States and Canada at the same time they air in Japan:

Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every last Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity’s freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest—a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues!

Debuting Saturday, April 1, more than three and a half years after the conclusion of Season One, the second season of "Attack on Titan" was originally announced for 2016. However, following rumors that it wouldn’t hit that target date, the staff of “Attack on Titan” officially announced a spring 2017 return. The entire first season is now available on Funimation.
