Everyone is celebrating the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, including Atlanta's NBA team, the Hawks.

Last Wednesday evening, the Hawks dedicated their entire game against the Philadelphia 76ers to commemorate Star Wars. The event featured giveaways, special floor routines and an exclusive extended trailer of The Force Awakens. A portion of each ticket sale also went to help fund a young fan's wish of experiencing a Hawks game.

Fans were encouraged to dress up for the event, and many fans took the opportunity to take pictures with Stormtroppers, Jedis, and Ahsoka Tano.

The Hawks cheerleaders also took part in the Star Wars event. Each cheerleader got to wear either a Princess Leia dress, a Jedi cloak, or a Stormtrooper uniform. They performed a choreographed dance sequence to a hip-hop remix of the Cantina theme song during half-time:

The Atlanta Hawks also spent the evening tweeting Star Wars references, some to keep score, some to taunt their opponents, the 76ers.
