Artist crafts incredible Millennium Falcon, 'Macross' mecha from wood

A woodworker created a remarkable replica of the Millennium Falcon from 3,000 pieces of timber, and a "Macross" mecha that's actually articulated.

Martin Creaney is truly a master of his craft. Maybe even a Jedi master.

The woodworker has created a remarkably detailed replica of the Millennium Falcon using 3,000 individually cut pieces of wood. Heck, I'm not sure "remarkably detailed" actually does the work justice; see for yourself in the photos and videos below.

But Creaney didn't stop with the Millennium Falcon: He's crafted a mech from Macross that's, impressively enough, actually articulated, as well as an X-wing fighter from Star Wars.
