Attention all “Marvel Zombies” fans! Arthur Suydam has just signed on for a return appearance at Mid-Ohio-Con on November 24 & 25 in Columbus, Ohio. Arthur Suydam’s artwork is most recently featured on covers for Marvel Zombies (Spike Scream Award for Best Comic), Black Panther, Ghost Rider, Hellstorm, Wolverine Origins, Marvel Zombies: Dead Days, the new Marvel Zombies 2, and recently announced Moon Knight and Wolverine for Marvel. Suydam teams up with Dynamite Entertainment on the cult classic Army of Darkness and new crossover Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness, as well as Raise the Dead, Savage Tales and Red Sonja. Arthur Suydam made his first Mid-Ohio-Con appearance in 2006.
Suydam joins an all-star roster of comics’ talent scheduled to appear at Mid-Ohio-Con, including: Sergio Aragones, Tom Batiuk, Joe Benitez, Dave Dorman, Jan Duursema, Mark Evanier, Ale Garza, Matt Haley, Barry Kitson, David Mack, Tom Mandrake, Sean McKeever, Brian Pulido, Steve Rude and over 100 more fan favorites. A special salute to the “Men of Bronze” puts the spotlight on creators from Marvel Comics’ “Bronze Age”, featuring: Rich Buckler, Gary Friedrich, Michael Golden, Tony Isabella, Arvell Jones, Keith Pollard, Roger Stern, Herb Trimpe & Ron Wilson.
Media personalities scheduled to appear include: Doug Jones: Hollywood’s top “creature” actor. Doug starred as “The Silver Surfer” in the motion picture Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer. He also starred in the Academy Award winning Pan’s Labyrinth as both “Pan” and evil “Pale Man”. Noel Neill: Best remembered as “Lois Lane” in the 1950’s TV series, The Adventures of Superman. Margot Kidder: Actress who starred as “Lois Lane” opposite Christopher Reeve in the Superman film series. Feedback & The Defuser: The winners from season one and two of the SciFi Channel series, Who Wants To Be A Superhero. Scott Schwartz: Oceans 11, 12 & 13. Mark Goddard: from the 1960’s TV classic, Lost In Space. Sarah Douglas: “Ursa” in Superman II & III. Kane Hodder: “Jason” in Friday The 13th. Plus, TNA Wrestling star, Raven and a rare opportunity for people to see the original production puppets used in filming the 1964 TV classic: Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Mid-Ohio-Con is Ohio’s largest and longest-running comic book and pop culture show. Each year thousands of people travel to Columbus from across the US, Canada and Europe to meet their favorite comic book artists, writers and pop culture media personalities. In all, Mid-Ohio-Con will present over 100 celebrity guests and a gigantic retail display floor packed with comic books, toys and pop culture collectibles.
Mid-Ohio-Con is a family-friendly entertainment event, open to the general public. The show will take place in Battelle Hall at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on Saturday November 24th from 10am to 6pm and again on Sunday November 25th from 10am to 5pm. Tickets will be on sale at the door each day. (Cost is $15 per person with kids age 8 and under admitted free when accompanied by a paid adult.)
