Roy Harper will fulfill his comic book destiny on "Arrow," as Entertainment Weekly revealed on the Wednesday of Comic-Con that the character, played by Colton Haynes, will take on the Arsenal identity in the upcoming season three. The first image of Roy-as-Arsenal shows that he's sticking with a red hoodie, but one considerably more "costumed vigilante" and less "H&M."

Season two was a tough one for Roy Harper -- including being unwillingly injected by Mirakuru serum, and subsequently going on a rampage that resulted in him killing a police officer (something he's not yet aware he did). In DC Comics lore, Roy Harper became Arsenal in 1993 following decades as Green Arrow's sidekick Speedy.

"Arrow" season three is scheduled to debut Oct. 8 on The CW.
