As "Arrow's" fifth season continues to unfold, one new member of Oliver's team is going to strike out on his own to face potentially deadly competition. New addition Rick Gonzalez, who plays the DC Comics vigilante Mad Dog, debuted in the season five premiere and pretty soon he'll be going up against the WWE's Cody Rhodes himself. Okay, Wild Dog won't be fighting Rhodes; feuding with Stardust IRL is Stephen Amell's job, actually. No, the character Wild Dog be fighting the drug dealer played by Rhodes in the wrestler's guest starring role on the series.

The showdown comes in next week's episode, an installment titled "A Matter of Trust." In an interview with Collider, Gonzalez spoke about filming his fight scene with the professional wrestler and whether or not he was intimidated.

"It was not intimidating for Wild Dog, at all," said Gonzalez of his character. "I think Wild Dog looks forward to that. That was so much fun. Working with Cody was awesome! He killed his part. He came in as a pro, knew what he was doing, and knew how he wanted to do it. He just had a certain swag and energy about what he wanted to do with his character. I certainly appreciated it, and I know that Stephen and the rest of the crew did, as well. I think it’s awesome that you’ll get to see Wild Dog go up against that type of strength. That’s going to be pretty fun. I think that also speaks to who Wild Dog is, the type of abilities that he has, his skill set, his mental strength, who he deems himself to be, and how strong he thinks he is. I can’t wait for people to see that episode. It’s going to be so much fun."

Wild Dog will also have a chance to prove himself during this fall's CW superhero show crossover event. It was recently teased that the vigilante will appear in the 4-part even when a picture of his mask and the Flash's helmet was posted to social media.
