"Arrow" star John Barrowman has struck a deal with The CW that makes him a series regular across all of the network's superhero shows. According to TVLine, he will add "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow" to his resume, following in the footsteps of "Legends of Tomorrow's" Wentworth Miller, who struck a similar deal in May.

"What it really emulates to us is the comic books themselves, where there really are a cast of characters," executive producer Greg Berlanti said when news of Miller's deal broke. "In success, we hope to continue with other characters finding their way across all the shows."

Barrowman plays the self-serving Malcolm Merlyn, Oliver Queen's longtime nemesis and occasional ally. He was a member of the League of Assassins, even rising to become R'as al Ghul before Nyssa al Ghul dismantled the organization. He was last seen in "Arrow" Season 4, after which he slipped away into the darkness once again. He also appeared briefly in "The Flash" during last year's inter-show crossover.

Though it's unclear where he'll pop up first thanks to this new deal, it's likely he'll return to "Arrow," which returns to The CW on Wednesday, October 5 at 8 pm EST.
