On November 30, all eyes will be on the CW, as “Arrow” will air its 100th episode, an episode that conveniently takes place in the middle of the crossover event with “Supergirl," “The Flash" and “Legends of Tomorrow." In the lead up to the episode, star Stephen Amell spoke to TV Line about the tone of the installment, and what fans can expect.

As fans know, the episode, titled “Invasion”, continues the crossover event that begins on “The Flash” and will conclude on “Legends of Tomorrow." Amell revealed that the show managed to merge all three shows attitudes into one for the event. “It is such a radical departure from anything that we have ever done on the show…We utilize the fantastical elements that we bring in on The Flash and carry through to Legends of Tomorrow with the present-day storyline to create something… that is not a flashback [or] a flash-forward. It’s something else entirely.”

According to a brief synopsis, the episode takes place in a world in which most of “Arrow” hasn’t happened at all. Oliver never goes on “The Queen’s Gambit," Robert and Moira Queen (played by Jamey Sheridan and Susanna Thompson, respectively) are still alive, and Oliver and Laurel are getting married. However, per the description, “Oliver starts to notice small imperfections that make him question this new reality.”

Thanks to the nature of the episode, Amell teased that it “gives us license to do whatever we want…and to show some things that we’ll never be able to show, to have some characters interact that will never be able to interact on the show again - probably.” Amell also hinted that he will finally be able to gain some closure over his loved ones that have passed away. “There [is] a very therapeutic moment for my character towards the end [of the Arrow episode] where I get to say goodbye to people that I never got the chance to say goodbye to.”

According to early reviews of the episode, it’s one of the shows best to date, so fans will definitely want to make sure they are tuned into the CW when “Arrow's" 100th episode airs on November 30.

Starring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer, "Arrow" airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, John Barrowman, Willa Holland and more.
