In Arrow Season 6, Wild Dog received a costume upgrade. The Star City vigilante ditched his homemade outfit for a more heavily armored costume, which syncs up with his Team Arrow compatriots. However, Wild Dog co-creator Terry Beatty isn't on board his new look. On Facebook, Beatty -- who created Wild Dog with Max Allan Collins in 1987 -- explained why he is unhappy with the alteration.

"This change erases any trace of the original Collins/Beatty concept for the character. I would not be surprised if his name gets changed before too long, as well," Beatty wrote. "Whatever was unique about his 'street level' costume has been replaced with the current standard issue dark armored uniform -- a generic 'third Imperial Guard from the left/Death-Blood-Stroke-Stryke/Image big gun' look. Sigh...."

In the post, Beatty made sure there was no misunderstanding surrounding his feelings about actor Rick Gonzalez, who plays Wild Dog on the show. "I will tip my hat to Rick Gonzalez, who I feel has done a fine job in the role and has a strong screen presence. I wish him luck in going forward with this and whatever else he does down the line," he concluded.
