Bex Taylor-Klaus just slew the competition for another prominent starring role.

The actress broke through with her role in the third season of The Killing before going on to appear on Arrow and House of Lies. Now, according to Deadline, she'll have to contend with a potentially supernatural murderer in a ghost mask on MTV's Scream. Taylor-Klaus replaces Amy Forsyth, who scored the role of Audrey Jesen earlier this month, but apparently lost out the part after the first table read.

The MTV series was announced in June 2012 and got then ordered to pilot in April 2013. Casting breakdowns appeared online, revealing Audrey Jesen as "'the bicurious daughter of a Lutheran pastor"; she an "artsy-loner"who dreams of one day becoming a filmmaker.

Scream, which is expected to premiere next year, also stars Willa Fitzgerald, John Carna, Carlson Young and Amadeus Serafini.
