Legendary Comics has announced the launch of an all-new, original sci-fi series called "The Infinite Adventures of Jonas Quantum" from "Arrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim and "Legendary Star-Lord" artist Freddie Williams II. The duo will team up to chronicle the adventures of Jonas Quantum, a character described as a "maverick hyper-genius" who possesses a skill set that includes everything from time-traveling to dimension-hopping and curing death.

With "Arrow's" third season wrapping up, executive producer Guggenheim is keeping himself busy with plenty of new comic projects. In addition to "Jonas Quantum," the writer will soon launch "X-Tinction Agenda" and "Squadron Sinister" at Marvel as part of their "Secret Wars" event.

Williams made a name for himself back in 2006 with a run on "Robin." Since then, Williams has worked on a number of DC Comics series, including "The Flash" "JSA All-Stars," "Captain Atom" and "The Movement." His most recent gog included illustrating cosmic adventures in "Legendary Star-Lord" for Marvel Comics.

"The Infinite Adventures of Jonas Quantum" debuts in September.
