Fans of The CW's flagship superhero soap opera Arrow got some great news this weekend at Comic Con International in San Diego, as executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed that not only will Manu Bennett be returning to the show to play Slade Wilson AKA Deathstroke, but the character would be getting his own two-part flashback episode.

The iconic DC villain, who served as the big bad for Arrow's second season, returned towards the end of its most recent to help Oliver Queen and his team in their fight against the deadly Prometheus -- and from the sounds of things, Deathstroke will remain a big part of the show heading into its sixth season.

During the Arrow panel on Saturday evening, Marc Guggenheim commented that not only would the sixth season of the show focus on Slade in a two-part special but the first half of the new season is going to give the character a lot of screentime and focus on everything he has been through so far since making amends with Oliver over the death of Shado and working with Team Arrow to fight Prometheus.

Starring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer, Arrow returns Thursday, October 12 at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, Willa Holland and more.
