Star City is about to get a new detective named Tina Boland in the second half of "Arrow" season five, but the bad news for Oliver and his crew is that she's not so keen on costumed vigilantes.

The role will be played by actor Juliana Harkavy, as reported Tuesday by Variety. Harkavy is better known to "Walking Dead" fans as the gun-toting Alisha, who appeared for a few episodes in season 4 as the ill-fated girlfriend of series regular Tara (Alanna Masterson). Harkavy also has prior experience as a police officer, playing one in the 2014 horror film "Last Shift" (pictured above in that role).

According to the article, "Boland is brash yet tactful, tough, speaks her mind, and is not the easiest person to impress." More intriguingly, the piece also notes that Boland has recently moved from Central City, the setting for another of The CW's superhero series, "The Flash" — will Boland have some history with the Scarlet Speedster?

Whatever the happened in her past, Boland's bound to come into conflict with Arrow's growing gang of vigilantes on the streets -- and possibly Oliver Queen himself, in his civilian role as Mayor of Star City.

Starring Stephen Amell as the Green Arrow, "Arrow" airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, John Barrowman and Willa Holland.
