Just days before the June 23 release of Batman: Arkham Knight, WB Games has abruptly canceled the $200 Batmobile Edition.

The highest-tier collector's edition offered, it came bundled with an 80-page art book, a limited-edition comic, an exclusive New 52 skin pack and a transforming Batmobile statue. Kotaku reports that a problem with the latter, produced by Project TriForce, led to the last-minute cancellation.

In a statement released Wednesday, Warner Bros. refers only "to unforeseen circumstances that greatly compromised the quality of this extremely limited run of product." Fans who preordered the Batmobile Edition will receive refunds, and be given a free New 52 skin pack, which includes Batman, Nightwing and Robin.

The refunds can, of course, be applied to the standard version of Batman: Arkham Knight, or less expensive collector's editions. Some retailers are also offering promotional credits.
