SPOILER ALERT: Archie Comics is at it again.

With the first, blood-filled issue of "Archie Vs. Predator" arriving in stores this week, the publisher already has its sights set on the next franchise to mash-up with its teenaged characters: Syfy's B-movie blockbuster "Sharknado" series." The special one-shot is scheduled for release on July 22, the same day "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" debuts on the cable network.

The comic will be written by "Sharknado" director Anthony C. Ferrante, with art by Archie mainstay Dan Parent.

"The Sharknado franchise has soared in popularity due partly to the variety of great celebrities, who bravely encounter this unnatural menace," Syfy Ventures VP Jeff Li told Deadline. "Sharknado survivors come in all forms. It's only natural that Archie and the gang will get a chance to save their town from flying sharks."
