According to Deadline, "Watchmen" and "Insidious" star Patrick Wilson has been cast as Aquaman's half-brother, Orm Marius -- AKA, the Ocean Master -- in the upcoming live-action "Aquaman" film directed by "Furious 7's" James Wan. Typically a villain in the comics, it hasn't been announced if Orm will be good or bad in the film, or if he'll even take on the guise of Ocean Master.

"In the comics, Aquaman’s human half-brother is a rival for the throne of Atlantis and wreaks havoc on the high seas and beneath them when he doesn’t get his way," notes the site, comparing the character to the "Thor" films' Loki.

Having first appeared in "Aquaman" #29 by Bob Haney and Nick Cardy, Orm is resentful of his half-brother for not having any superpowers. Becoming a high-tech pirate, Orm tries to usurp the Throne of Atlantis on various occasions under the guise of Ocean Master. Under the New 52 line-wide revamp, Orm was retconned to be the successor to Atlantis' Throne who wages war against the surface world under the manipulation of Vulko (played by Willem Dafoe in the upcoming film).
