Tom Holland earned near-universal acclaim for his debut as Spider-Man last year in Captain America: Civil War, with audiences, critics and co-stars praising his exuberant performance as the wall-crawler. OK, most of his co-stars.

As this video compilation clearly demonstrates, Holland's Civil War co-stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan take delight in painting the young actor as a prima donna, and a bit of an on-set terror.

"Listen, Tom's a little asshole," Mackie says with a straight face, just as Stan cracks up off-camera. "So let's start there. All right, Tom's an asshole."

"Lotta hair gel," Stan interjects, which launches Mackie into another direction. "Lotta gel, lotta mousse," the Falcon actor continues. "He has, like -- you know, we have RDJ in the movie. RDJ is ... RDJ. Tom has his own base camp. He has, like, an entourage. It's a lot -- he's a lot to deal with, and you know, he's just a lot."

Those aren't isolated comments, either. The video features clips from multiple interviews with the two actors during Civil War press junkets and premieres, underscoring the depth of their (hilariously pretend) dislike for Holland. In the final segment, Stan is alarmed by the arrival of Holland to chants from the crowd, and asks for security "to keep that man away from me."

We can only hope that press junkets for 2018's Avengers: Infinity War will lead to another round of trash-talking.

Holland will next be seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming, joined by Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly and Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. Director Jon Watts' film arrives in theaters July 7.
