A new photo from the set of Marvel's Ant-Man and the Wasp has provided the first look at the villain The Ghost.

Spanish-language entertainment website Noticias Geek TV was on hand in Atlanta to witness a fight scene involving Evangeline Lilly's Hope van Dyne and The Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen.

Although The Ghost has been depicted as male in the comics source material, Marvel Studios cast John-Kamen (Game of Thrones, Killjoys) in the role.

The villain was introduced in 1987 in Iron Man #219 as an anti-capitalist saboteur who has the ability to turn invisible and phase through objects.

Opening July 6, 2018, Ant-Man and The Wasp stars returning cast members Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Michael Peña as Luis, Judy Greer as Maggie, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Abby Ryder Fortson as Cassie, Tip “T.I.” Harris as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, joined by franchise newcomers Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Hannah John-Kamen as The Ghost, Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo and Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster.
