Thanks to the success of ABC's Under the Dome Stephen King has become a pretty hot commodity in Hollywood once again.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC's Signature division has a straight-to-series order in place for Grand Central, based on one of the author's 2008 short stories.

The potential drama takes its cues from"The New York Times at Special Bargain Rates," which can be found in King's 2008 collection Just After Sunset. In the story, a woman receives a call from her husband, who died two days earlier in a plane crash, warning her about two tragedies in an effort to save her life.

Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn, who also worked on the King-based Syfy drama Haven, wrote the script, which will likely go to series next year.
