Between hosting the MTV Movie Awards, writing and starring "Trainwreck" and rolling out the breakout season of her Comedy Central series, Amy Schumer is on fire. And today we learn she'll headline her first HBO comedy special, directed by Chris Rock.

Debuting later this year, the special will be taped May 29 at the Apollo Theater in New York City.

“Amy is one of the most inspired comics working today, and we hope her first HBO special marks the start of a long and beautiful relationship,” Michael Lombardo, president of HBO Programming, said in a statement. “This event is even more special because our good friend, the incredibly talented Chris Rock, is directing.”

Schumer's Comedy Central series "Inside Amy Schumer" won a 2015 Peabody Award. She'll write the standup special and executive produce alongside Mike Berkowitz and Jimmy Miller.
