Neil Gaiman’s “American Gods” just got more divine. USA Today has released a slew of new photos that introduce new characters and give fans a closer look at some familiar ones.

The new photos introduce Technical Boy's goons, who are faceless creatures that accost the series’ protagonist Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle). Easter, played by Kristin Chenoweth, is wooed by the mysterious con man Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) in another photo. Crispin Glover also shows up in his Sunday best as the unsettling and self-assured Mr. World.

“Shadow starts the series as someone comfortably American and feeling like he’s already a citizen of the world," explained executive producer Michael Green. However, he added that Shadow feels as though he's "an immigrant into the new culture of the world of gods and magic.”

"These are real gods with real-world problems," star Ricky Wittle said. "They’re struggling in life as people have lost their faith and belief. These guys are living amongst us and living ordinary lives. That allows even the most skeptical people who maybe aren’t into fantasy to really get into this show."

Debuting on the Starz network in 2017, “American Gods” is Bryan Fuller and Michael Green stars Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon, Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, Emily Browning as Laura Moon, Pablo Schreiber as Mad Sweeney, Bruce Langley as Technical Boy, Yetide Badaki as Bilquis and Jonathan Tucker as Low Key Lyesmith.
