Gillian Anderson's ever-changing Media demands an apology from her fellow new god, Bruce Langley's Technical Boy, in a preview of Sunday's episode of American Gods. Media takes on the shape that best suits her purposes -- and for this confrontation, she chooses to appear as Ziggy Stardust-era David Bowie.

In bright-red hair, teal suit and matching eyeshadow, Media tells Technical Boy, "You have an image problem. You need to think about your brand, how you want the world to see you -- how you want Mr. World to see you. You're a good kid, just not good with people you don't know. Apologize."

Anderson previously appeared as Lucille Ball in the second episode. She'll also take on the forms of Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe and other celebrities later in the season. This challenge of personifying so many different, well-known personalities was one of the things that drew her to the role. Talking with Entertainment Weekly, Anderson described playing Media as "the opportunity of getting to embody some pretty extraordinary characters."

Based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and developed for TV by showrunners Bryan Fuller and Michael Green, American Gods stars Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Emily Browning, Yetide Badaki and Pablo Schreider. The drama airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Starz.
