If following Sunday's episode you wondered when "Fear the Walking Dead" would return from hiatus, wonder no more.

AMC announced this afternoon that Season 2 will continue Sunday, Aug. 21, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

As the "Walking Dead" companion series heads into the second half of the season, the Clark, Manawa and Salazar families fracture, and the events that took place at the Abigail compound set all the heroes adrift. Now they'll have to forge their own paths to survive.

Season 2 premiered April 16 to 8.8 million viewers, including 5.7 million adults 25-54 and 5.3 million adults 18-49 in live+3 ratings. While viewership has dipped this season, "Fear the Walking Dead" is still the No. 2 show on cable, behind "The Walking Dead."
