While a pilot order hasn’t yet been given on the CW’s “Wonder Woman” adaptation, “Amazon,” reports have surfaced that Warner Bros. Television has hired a casting director and released a character breakdown for the lead role of the show. “Amazon” will feature the story of Iris, a young Wonder Woman with a story conceived by television producer and comics writer Allan Heinberg. The character breakdown, which describes Iris as coming from “a remote, secluded country and until now has spent most of her life as a soldier and a leader on the battlefield” can be seen below.
“Because of relentless brutality of her life at home, Iris looks at our world with absolute awe and astonishment. She’s delighted Âand just as often horrified  by the aspects of everyday life that we take for granted: skyscrapers, traffic, ice cream. It’s all new and fascinating and sometimes slightly troubling to her. Iris is completely unschooled in our world, our culture, our customs. And she’s completely inexperienced at interpersonal relationships. She has no social filter, does not suffer fools, and tends to do and say exactly what’s on her mind at all times. She’s bluntly, refreshingly honest. She can tell when you’re lying to her. And she doesn’t have time or patience for politics or tact because she’s too busy trying to experience everything our world has to offer. There are too many sights to see Âand things to learn Âand people to care for. Hers is a true, noble, and generous heart. And she will fight and die for the people she loves. Iris is a fierce warrior with the innocent heart of a romantic Âand she will fight to the death to make the world safe for innocents and true romantics everywhere.”

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
Ian McKellen spoke with The Huffington Post about his return to the role of Magneto in Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” McKellen characterized Michael Fassbender’s portrayal of the character in “X-Men: First Class” and “exactly that: first class. Excellent,” and expressed excitement about returning to the franchise with co-star Patrick Stewart.
“Patrick Stewart and I have been have just been playing ‘Waiting for Godot’ throughout England and in the West End of London. So, we’ve stayed in touch. We can’t believe it [Laughs],” McKellen told The Huffington Post. “I thought these were Fassbender and [James] McAvoy’s parts, but — no, no — we’re back. We’ll give them a run for their money. I mean, I haven’t read the script, so I don’t know how much we’ve got to do. But, to be back in that world, and for Bryan to be doing it — with all the success he’s had in the meantime — it’s wonderful. Wonderful.”

DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY
HitFix has a comprehensive report on Christopher Nolan’s recent appearance at Lincoln Center to speak about the behind-the-scenes of his “Dark Knight” Trilogy, including Heath Ledger’s approach to the Joker in “The Dark Knight.”
“Like a lot of artists, he would sneak up on something,” Nolan said. “So you couldn’t really sit and go, ‘Okay, you’re going to do the Joker. You’re going to show me what it’s going to be.’ You had to sort of say, ‘Let’s read this scene. Don’t act it, just read.’ And he’d sit with Christian and there would be a line or two where his voice was a little different, throw in a little bit of a laugh. And then we would film hair and makeup tests and try different looks, and in that, he’d start to move, and we’d have these rubber knives and he’d choose what weapon and explore the movement of the character. We weren’t recording sound, so he felt quite able to start talking and showing some of what he was going to do. And in that way he sort of sneaked up on the character.”
