The fast-approaching “Amazing Spider-Man” film continues its media blitz full-steam ahead. Spinoff Online revealed this new poster focusing on Spidey and Gwen Stacy, while the official TASM Twitter released this picture of Emma Stone as Gwen for the weekly Gwensday celebration.
Omelete posted part three of its interview with producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, who describe the potential of Spider-Man as a character and the depth of the franchise’s universe.
Alex Kurtzman, who (along with Roberto Orci) has been tapped to write the sequel to “The Amazing Spider-Man,” spoke with Movies.com about his initial impressions of the film after an advance screening.
“I can’t really talk about it. What I can say is how amazingly impressed I was with what they did,” Kurtzman told Movies.com. “I was a huge fan of Sam [Raimi’s] movies. My God. When you look back at the superhero movies of the last decade, there’s no question that Spider-Man was right there at the top. So it’s a really tall order to jump in and sort of come up with a new version. But I think what Marc and Andrew [Garfield] did, what Emma [Stone] and all of the producers did, was to ground the world in a reality that felt so honest and authentic. And I think both Bob and I responded to that instantly.”
MTV spoke with Andrew Garfield about his favorite Spidey villains.
“I love all of them. I like Electro, he’s one of the ones I’m very into,” Garfield told MTV. “I really like the [Green] Goblin, obviously, and I love Doc Ock. I think I like Doc Ock especially because of what Alfred Molina did [with the character in ‘Spider-Man 2’]. I don’t know; he made that so memorable and kind of profound, somehow.”

CAPTAIN AMERICA 2
While speaking with Collider about his work on “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,” “Captain America” actor Dominic Cooper talked briefly about the possibility of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for “Captain America 2.”
“I just don’t know… That one probably, because I’m the father, the next one I imagine will come later,” Cooper told Collider. “But you never know, anything can happen to any of the characters at any time. They’re like the comics. But I don’t know. They’re incredible projects. And I didn’t really grow up with the comics, but I had friends that were, and now I can sort of see the pleasures of them and how creative they are. When you work with people who are so passionate about their product it’s kinda inspiring. They start rambling on to you about, ‘Oh, you know, when your character in comic book 42, the emperor turns-‘ and you just sit there nodding your head. But you’re amazing by their excitement, and it’s totally inspiring, although deeply worrying because you know you have a lot of people who have very, very clear views and ideas on how they perceive the characters.”
