Apparently Empire State University will hire just about anyone: Just take the Jackal, also known as Prof. Miles Warren; he's teaching a class called "Introduction to Live Cloning," The Daily Bugle reports.

Actually, the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 viral site mentions that Warren is teaching a class that will clone an amoeba (which probably means he hasn't turned into the villain known as Jackal just yet). In the comics, Warren was a supporting character for a decade before turning supervillain. He's also infamous as the man behind "The Clone Saga," making him one of the most reviled characters in Spidey's rogues gallery. There's a bit of a nod to that in the Daily Bugle piece:

The ethical aspects of cloning are irrelevant to Warren, who added, “We are cloning single-celled amoeba. Maybe one day we’ll work our way up to mice. There is no ethical dilemma. Save your red flag for when I start cloning co-eds …”

Whether this is an actual hint at the story in director Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man sequel or merely a wink to comics fans remains to be seen.

Opening May 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field and Chris Cooper,
