'Amazing Spider-Man 2' Trailer to Debut With 'The Desolation of Smaug'

Director Marc Webb announced on Twitter that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer will debut Dec. 13 with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb showed off his deep geek cred on Twitter recently. On Tuesday he sent out the following message:

If you're not fluent in fantasy languages, that translates to, "Watch for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer in front of The Hobbit in 3D" in J.R.R. Tolkien's Elvish tongue. More specifically, the trailer will debut with The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, which arrives in theaters on Dec. 13.

Opening May 2, 2014, Sony's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field and Chris Cooper.
