When the Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. return later this year for a fifth season, the organization will add another member to its ranks.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Nick Blood will reprise his role as Agent Lance Hunter, a former mercenary who eventually joined the ranks of Phil Coulson's crew in large part due to nudging by his ex-wife (and fellow former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent) Bobbi Morse.

Regulars on the ABC drama's second and third seasons, Hunter and Morse were cut loose by S.H.I.E.L.D. during the events of Season 3 episode "Parting Shot," in which the two agents had their affiliations with the organization made public. The arc was intended as a backdoor pilot for Marvel's Most Wanted, a spinoff series following Hunter and Morse, but ABC eventually decided to pass on the project.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return this fall on ABC following the conclusion of Inhumans. The series stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Chloe Bennet as Daisy “Quake” Johnson, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons, and Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie.
