BEWARE THE BATMANScreenrant has posted an interview with "Beware the Batman" producers Glen Murakami and Mitch Watson, who spoke not only about the premiere and the mission statement behind the show, but the passionate response to "Young Justice" and "Green Lantern: The Animated Series" being left off Cartoon Network's fall schedule.

"To be perfectly frank with you, the action genre of television cartoons right now is sort of on the verge of extinction, so I'm really hoping that if people like 'Young Justice' and people liked 'Green Lantern,' that they're gonna give this show a chance," Watson told Screenrant. "Because quite honestly, if they don't go for this kind of show... and you know what? If they don't like it, they don't like it, but give the show a chance, because we really set out to make something that was goona appeal to both fans and new people, and to pull back in the Green Lantern and the Young Justice people. I think we've done our due diligence in terms of honoring the characters and so, people gotta know that unless they give these shows a chance, you're not going to see action shows anymore."

Debuts July 13 on Cartoon Network

KICK-ASS 2Comic Book Movie has posted an exerpt from Movie Magic magazine, which spoke with "Kick-Ass 2" director Jeff Wadlow and Chloe Grace Moretz about the upcoming sequel and how Hit-Girl has changed.

"The obvious difference is that I'm older now, and the difference between 11 and 15, which is how old I was when we finished, is that you're a different person, obviously," Moretz told Movie Magic. "You're calculating more ideas, you're experiencing more things in your own life, you're not just living through other people's eyes, you're making your own decisions. So I was able to step into the sequel knowing that after the first movie I was able to have such an amazing career. I've been able to do such amazing, emotionally stretching things that I didn't just want to do a role like the first one. The first one was great for an 11-year-old, but now I'm older and I want to try something I can sink my teeth into. What Jeff and I really wanted to improve was the real heart of it, because I wanted to show that this girl didn't have a father anymore and how much that affected her. She's really confused and going through the self-torture of, 'Am I killing people because this is what I was raised to believe was a good thing, or am I just murdering people?' I wanted to show this inner pain and struggle, and the fact that she's lost her only family, her father. I wanted to show this darker side to her, and I also wanted to make the action a little bit different. So we basically scrapped the guns. I do use guns a little bit in the movie, but we basically do hand-to-hand combat and it's just a lot more hands-on."

Opens August 16

JUSTICE LEAGUE"Arrow" leading actor Stephen Amell spoke with SciFiNow, saying he would actually like to play Green Arrow in a "Justice League" movie.

"I think that Green Arrow has an opportunity to mature in much the same way Iron Man did in the Marvel universe," Amell told SciFiNow. "He wasn't necessarily a top level character, but because they made an Iron Man movie and it was successful, it vaulted him up and now he anchors the Avengers. It's always up to what's popular at the moment. Right now archery seems to be having a mini renaissance, so hopefully he can settle into a firm rotating member of the DC Justice League of America."
