Brigadier General Glenn Talbot will officially bring his military know-how back to “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” in the second half of Season 4. Adrian Pasdar, who plays the recurring character, revealed his return to the role with an Instagram photo captured by the show's key makeup artist Wendi Lynn. The image shows Pasdar in Talbot's uniform, complete with the character's trademark facial hair, as seen on the on-set monitor during the filming of an as-yet undisclosed episode.

Fans last saw Talbot in the tail-end of Season 3 when he helped S.H.I.E.L.D. obtain classified codes that enabled them block Hive's plans, but it is currently unclear what role the character will be performing in his next appearance.

Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in 1964's "Tales to Astonish" #61, Major Glen Talbot is generally portrayed as a courageous and patriotic -- if somewhat stern -- serving member of US military, but another less noble version of the character appeared in the 2003 "Hulk" movie played by Josh Lucas.
