Adam Sandler will enter new territory with his upcoming movie Hello Ghost. The comedian has played with fantastical elements in films like Bedtime Stories and Click, and even classic horror characters in Hotel Transylvania, but Ghost will be the actor's first foray into live-action supernatural comedy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will also mark Sandler's first time working with director Chris Columbus (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Adventures in Babysitting).

Hello Ghost is actually a remake of a 2010 Korean film that finds a man hanging out with four ghosts after attempting suicide. To get rid of the spirited hangers-on, he agrees to help them each do one thing on the mortal plane. Karen Croner (Admission) adapted the story. The film will be produced in concert with Sandler's Happy Madison and Columbus' 1492 Pictures.

According to Deadline, 1492 Pictures has another supernatural film in the works called 12/24. This one, based on the recently purchased spec script written by Matt Lieberman (Short Circuit) based on an idea by David Guggenheim (Safe House, Stolen), focuses on a pair of brothers who accidentally ground Santa Claus on Christmas Eve while trying to prove with their video camera that he exists. No director is attached just yet, but we're expecting to see this one on the big screen next December.
