Fans have been looking forward to "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron" since the "War for Cybertron" sequel was officially unveiled late last year by Activision and the developers at High Moon Studios. Gamers everywhere have been anticipating playing as select Autobots and Decepticons, including the Dinobot leader, Grimlock, in an effort to take control of their home world. Finally, there's an end to the waiting in sight.

Earlier this week, Gamespot debuted a new gameplay trailer for "Fall of Cybertron," the sequel to the 2010 release "War For Cybertron." In it, you get a better idea of what kind of combat awaits you in the game, including up-close melee combat, flight sequences and a whole lot of chaos. There's also a brief glimpse of Grimlock doing what he does best: transforming into robotic T-Rex form and breathing fire on everything in his path.

Originally announced with a vague "Fall 2012" release, the end of the trailer reveals an "8.28.2012" date, meaning that the sequel will arrive just in time for the end of summer, on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

If you still need more of a "Transformers" fix after watching the trailer, check out a first look at the gameplay demo! It'll give you an idea how to prepare for battle -- because with Cybertron's fate in your hands, it's gonna be a tough one.
