ABC's Once Upon a Time has a lot in store for the residents of Storybrooke. The first half of the second season brought Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) back from the storybook land, reuniting the former with her husband Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) and the latter with her son Henry (Jared Gilmore). But they're not the only ones with sights set on the coastal town in Maine populated by displaced storybook characters: Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue ) and the ultra-evil Cora (Barbara Hershey) came along as well.

With trouble looming, The Hollywood Reporter spoke with the show's co-creator Eddie Kitsis and pried some facts about the rest of the season. First and foremost, it's a distinct possibility that someone will die in Sunday's episode "The Cricket Game." The victim will continue to be a mystery until Sunday, but Kitsis did say, "Death's a big deal," to them as storytellers.

Meanwhile, as Snow and Charming get used to being around each other again and dealing with the fact that they have a daughter who's their same age, there's a conflict brewing between Rumplestilskin/Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) and Captain Hook. They explained that that conflict will come to a head "very soon."

Speaking of Hook, there's still the matter of his relationship with Emma which was contentious-at-best in the story book land. Is there a possibility for romance there? "I think that in all life, there are the people who are right for you and there are the people who are wrong for you, and then there are the people you just choose," Kitsis said. "I don't know if she would stare at [Hook] and think he'd be a great father for Henry but he might be fun in Vegas."

The producers are exploring the idea of introducing Henry to his father, played by Michael Raymond-James. They also have plans for mysterious special stars Ethan Embry (Empire Records) and Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey), though no extra details were given.

If all these tantalizing tidbits aren't quite enough to whet your Once Upon a Time whistle, TVLine scored a pair of previews from the upcoming episode, the first of Regina's arrival at Snow and Emma's welcome back party and the second features a conflict between the two in a story book land flashback. The videos aren't embeddable, so head on over and give them a look.

Once Upon a Time returns Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
