If the success of The Expendables and Red at the box office has taught us anything, it’s that people seem to want to see old guys fight. Luckily, ABC is there to answer that need.
According to Deadline Hollywood, the network is developing a series about a team of retired CIA operatives from the 1980s who are reactivated to deal with modern threats to the US. The series, as yet untitled, is being created by The Karate Kid scripters Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris and xXx director Rob Cohen, so expect action on a weekly basis, along with a slice of family drama: The CIA team’s boss in the series will be the team leader’s estranged daughter. It’s like Alias, but with more kicking.
