Look out, Fast & Furious 7, director Scott Waugh (Acts of Valor) and DreamWorks are looking to unseat the reigning champion of auto-based blockbuster films next year with Need For Speed.

As you can see in the trailer, the people behind the adaptation of the wildly successful video-game franchise's first film outing have built a story around Aaron Paul's Tobey, a garage owner and street racer who gets framed by former NACAR star Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper) and sent to jail. After getting out of lock-up, Tobey and his crew plan a way to exact their vengeance on Brewster by competing against him in De Leon, a coast-to-coast illegal street race that offers plenty of opportunities for explosions, crashes and other craziness.

Need For Speed also stars Dakota Johnson, Imogen Poots, Kid Cudi, Michael Keaton and debuts March 14, 2014, which will put it out about four months before Fast & Furious 7 hits theaters.
