Captain America #255 was towards the end of Roger Stern and John Byrne's excellent (if sadly too brief) run on Captain America.

It was a look at Captain America's history. It was a really well produced done-in-one story, and it has one of the coolest double page spreads out there, which is today's cool comic book moment...

What a brilliant collage of events.
