Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here's the archive of the moments posted so far!

Okay, it's been a month now, you can have your DC and Marvel superheroes back!

And for this "new" start, let's take a look at a few days of Batman: Year One moments!!

In Batman #406 (written by Frank Miller and drawn to perfection by David Mazzucchelli), Batman is trapped in an apartment with pretty much the entire Gotham City SWAT team in trying to take him down. Naturally, he wishes not to be taken down (or taken in, for that matter). Batman's only companion is a stray cat who is stuck in the building with him - the cat has annoyed the SWAT team, so when they start spraying bullets, well, let's just say Batman is not a fan of people who are mean to cats (oh, and Batman has just activated a high-tech device that has been emitting a high-pitched signal that only certain creatures can hear)...

So cool.

I guess you have to go with the bats arriving as "the" moment, but I am partial to either Batman saving the cat or Batman decking the cat-shooter through the wall.
