Today continues SCALPED WEEK!!! All cool comic book moments from Jason Aaron and R. M. Guéra's awesome series, Scalped!

We continue today with a tragic issue for our "hero"...

To set the scene, Dashiell Bad Horse has gone back to the reservation he grew up (and where he ran away from as a young teen) as an undercover FBI agent set to take down the chief of the reservation.

Dash is working as a member of the reservation police.

In any event, in Scalped #11, Dash's mother, Gina Bad Horse, was murdered.

In this issue, Scalped #13, Dash is working on the murder of a prostitute (killed by Diesel) when he learns that HIS mother has been killed.

So many great little moments here - if it were not for the fact that we don't see it, I'd say that the hamburger scene would be "the" moment.

As it were, I suppose it would have to be the ending as Dash reacts while the kids of the murdered woman react. Guéra handles the dialogue-less scene bee-you-ta-fully, and Aaron sets the whole scene up wonderfully.
