Today continues SCALPED WEEK!!! All cool comic book moments from Jason Aaron and R. M. Guéra's awesome series, Scalped!

We continue today with a nice (real) introduction to Dino Poor Bear...

While he appeared in early issues of the series, I view Dino Poor Bear's spotlight in Scalped #10 (by Aaron and Guéra) as a real introduction, especially in the way that he is our introduction to the rough lifestyle that many folks living on the reservation go through.

Dino spends the whole issue talking about how, if he only could fix his car, he would leave the reservation with his daughter and get a better life.

Aaron uses as his storytelling technique a series of "no more" statements.

This, then, leads to the finale of the issue, where Dino is propositioned by Chief Bad Crow, and is finally given the opportunity to leave the reservation, if he so desires...

"The" moment, naturally, is that sweet ending.

Aaron really outdid himself, storytelling-wise, with this issue. Top notch stuff. And Guéra was not exactly a slouch, either! Especially that last page by Guéra - bee-you-tee-full.
