When last we saw Justice League America #45 (by Keith Giffen, JM DeMatteis and artists Russell Braun and Adam Hughes), Blue Beetle just humiliated Guy Gardner in front of a whole arena full of people and Guy has basically snapped.

In addition, Oberon has been thinking of leaving the Justice League to go back to working with Mister Miracle (Scott Free) full-time (Oh, and Orion and Lightray recently joined the Justice League).
