Here is the latest cool comic book moment in our year-long look at one cool comic book moment a day (in no particular order whatsoever)! Here's the archive of the moments posted so far!

Today we take a look at an early cool scene from Jim Rugg and Brian Maruca's Street Angel!

Enjoy!

To set the scene up, Doctor Pangea has built a machine that can bring all of the continents on Earth back together. He has also kidnapped the Mayor's daughter. The Mayor enlists the help of Jesse Sanchez, also known as Street Angel, who is armed only with her phat skateboarding skills, martial artistry and tricked out deck.

She kills a bunch of ninjas (the lackey of choice for villains like Dr. Pangea - although she lost a shoe amongst all the killing) and finds her way to his secret hideout, where coolness happens...

"The" moment for me is the "she wiped out all the ninjas in the time you took to turn the page" bit.

Such a great debut by Rugg and Marcua. Rugg has such a creative sense of layout and storytelling, and the writing by both guys is top-rate.

Street Angel is awesome.
