In conjunction with Prism Comics, the preeminent website for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) comics and creators, every day this month I will be detailing one good comic book/graphic novel with LGBT themes.

Here's an archive of the featured works so far!

Remember what I said about how prolific Tim Fish was?

Young Bottoms in Love was an online comic series edited by Tim Fish that ran at PopImage from 2002-2006. Fish was heavily involved on the creative end, as well, but he had a lot of other great creators involved doing short stories.

The best of the comics were collected in 2007 in the following trade paperback...

PopImage has three of the short stories up for preview, here's a page from each one, check out them all here.

First, a story written by Decker with art by Fish (notice how Fish tries out new styles frequently)...

Next, a bizarre story written by Frank Muse and also drawn by Fish (in his more traditional superhero style, where he draws sorta like Erik Larsen) about a guy involved with Big Foot.

Finally, here's a cute story written by Richard Ruane and drawn by Brett Hopkins about two guys both trying to muster up the courage to ask each other out. The ending is classic.

In any event, like all anthologies, there are varying levels of quality in the stories, but overall, this is quite a fun collection of stories that run the gamut from fun stories to sad ones - overall, though, this is a great book.

Since this book, by the way, Fish has become a little bit less prolific, but darn, was he coming out with a lot of stories constantly back in the early 2000s!!
