All throughout June, I'll spotlight a different web site about comic books.. Like with the month of independent comics, the month of LGBT comics and last month's month of webcomics, I figure I will let you comic book site/blog owners out there suggest your comic book web site (or blog) for spotlight during this month. So if you want me to spotlight your comic book site, drop me a line at bcronin@comicbookresources.com!

Today we look at Rob Kelly's The Aquaman Shrine, a daily comic book blog devoted to...I forget...Namor? Something like that...

The Aquaman Shrine works on a simple, yet brilliant, setup. Each day the Shrine has a new post up about Aquaman. 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year and over five years running so far!

And we're not just talking, like, "Here's an Aquaman cover - that's today's post! See ya!" We're talking some heavy duty content, including great interviews and Aquaman-related features.

Shrine correspondent Joe Slab wrote in to suggest the Shrine, and he had this to say about part of the great appeal of Kelly's site:

Aquaman fans are given the opportunity to submit items of interest for posting on the Shrine's daily blog and if chosen by Rob, they receive a certificate of membership in F.O.A.M. (Friends of Aquaman), the inner circle of the Aquaman Shrine. The Shrine has a light, fun feel to it and shies away from controversy and the debates that are common to comic book fandom and since its humble beginnings as a lonely little comic book blog, the Aquaman Shrine has grown into the largest organized Aquaman fan community there is. It can be found on the web, Facebook, & Twitter @aquamanshrine. I joined the staff of Shrine "correspondents" earlier this year by taking over running the Twitter feed and this coincidentally occurred the weekend that Geoff Johns announced at MegaCon that he was writing a new ongoing *Aquaman*series this year. As a result the Shrine has been busier than ever and our followers and friends continue to grow!

Speaking of Aquaman #1, they, of course, have a countdown to that issue's release!

As for other bits on the site, here are a few of the notable ones...

- Advertisements featuring Aquamn

- Original artwork featuring Aquamn

- Action figures featuring Aquaman

- Aquaman team-ups

Remember the Aquaman hoodie I did a blog piece on years ago? Rob features pictures sent in by people who own the hoodie! Check that out here.

This is all just a fraction (a TINY fraction!) of all the great features on The Aquaman Shrine.

Just check the site out for yourself! Unless you hate Aquaman, that is. But in that case, then the terrorists have won.
