All throughout June, I'll spotlight a different web site about comic books.. Like with the month of independent comics, the month of LGBT comics and last month's month of webcomics, I figure I will let you comic book site/blog owners out there suggest your comic book web site (or blog) for spotlight during this month. So if you want me to spotlight your comic book site, drop me a line at bcronin@comicbookresources.com!

Today we look at Forbidden Planet International's blog, which features news, interviews, commentary and, most importantly, reviews - lots and lots of reviews!

As I said up front, the key aspect of the Forbidden Planet International Blog is the reviews. The blog is run by Joe Gordon, but most of the reviews are by Richard, who does a TON of reviews and he has both a really good eye for good comics but also a great variety of comics he chooses to spotlight.

Technically speaking, this IS part of the Forbidden Planet web store, but the best thing about the blog is that it manages to eschew commercial considerations. They take the best approach you can have to a blog on a commercial site - show you really cool comics. If you then decide to buy some, then fair enough, but if not, you have still read about some really cool comics!

Here's Richard's latest review...

Good stuff, right? And Richard puts these reviews out CONSTANTLY!

When you add in Joe's reviews, news of small press events, regular comic book news and the odd piece of commentary, you have yourself a very entertaining and informative blogs about comic books.
